Hi,
In my point of view competitions always lead us to do our best because of another side But, if teams try to join together we will see the better result then.In addition , by merging they can share experience and make their purpose unique . At the end , we have the best tool for developing :)

Right, all the code is Open Source, so they can already share experiences even if they do not merge efforts.

yes, even if they don't join together, open source is what makes sharing and understanding even better thereby propelling the PHP project towards great heights. Only because of this great things like ReactPHP, Composer and best frameworks have occurred in PHP community. Will PHP application server like (www.appserver.io) be common and used in near future? how it would affect deploying PHP in new application server instead of web server? any thoughts.

I am not sure if doing it all in pure PHP is a good idea. Even though HHVM can act as Web server of FastCGI server, the server part of handling the requests is done inside the engine in C code for speed.
